Can't join imperial pilots.
I was rebel. I resigned.
Deleted my ships cause I couldn't re-deed them.
but the imperial recruiter tells me I'm a known rebel pilot and wont let me join.
What do I have to do?
oh. my ground status is rebel "on leave" . I have no idea how to change that if it's neccessary to do so.

you will need to go to a reb recruiter on the ground. you will have to quit the rebellion, not just be on leave. then you have to work off your -5k reb fp. I'm not sure if you have to build up the 200 imp fp in order to join, but I know you have to quit the rebellion and work off neg reb points...........

You can't be an Imperial Pilot if you're Rebel-aligned on the ground.
You need to go to a faction recruiter and resign your Rebel status entirely, not just the pilot skills. Then you'll have to grind out whatever negative Empire faction you have, until you have enough faction points to join the Empire.
Once you're a ground Imperial, you can become an Imperial Pilot.

You can join the Imps without any positive points by just talking to a pilot trainer ... I suspect it's to allow brand-new players to do so.

AN additional FYI
Imp pilot is the fast track into the Empire. As imp pilot only requires that you have 0 FP or better. You dont need the customary 200 FP to join. Just dont be in the negatives.
