I started last friday on my first Imperial pilot profession /gasp /ponder (ok ok now mastered). I have a bit of pilottime in JTL since beta. I took my T3 TIE up to kessel. Now mind you I have run many vette missions as a Rebel in the past. So I am xp'ing along to get 4433, I am 4333 at this time, but have yet to deed either of the T4 ships so I am basicly a tier 3 Storm Squad pilot (Storm Rules The Skies! or so my alt tells me now). I decide to take a chane and whack at the fighter escort for the Rebel vette. And to my suprise that was not too hard for a player with over 10 million in pilot prestige under his belt. So I am left with the vette. I start to work on her underside gun and I get like 10 missile launch indicators!! To my amazement it's some T3 and T4 rebel pilots using /missilelaunch on me for fun and wondering why they can not kill me. Little did they know they had to go overt before the entered kessel too. So after a little banter I decide to give it a whack........
Little did I know that with the right gear and experience a T3 pilot could solo the vette!! Without even using bomber strike. And an audience of opposing faction pilots to boot.Who btw want me to help them on thier master mission's now lol...

Last night, I took a Rebel duty mission overt, on one of my toons. He'd just gotten to tier4, and I was totally not planning on PvP with him, so I didnt even have target closest enemy player mapped. He still flys his Ywing Longprobe, though I have some decent L8 parts in it once I got my first box.
As I said, overt duty mission vs tier4 TIEs, and I just happened to tap Target closest Enemy between waves. I locked on an Opressor bearing down on me flank speed, and every alarm in my head went off. Full throttle, right toward him, hoping to get past him alive and maybe snap a shot off before I got sent home. Amazingly, my half barrel roll cleared me from his shot, and I splatted his windscreen with a direct hit. Ace dead in space, and me untouched. It felt pretty good. He ejected before I could turn and finish him, but I sent him a tell saying nice try. Then the fun began. I was told that next time I could do that without space bombs, then I could gloat. I calmly explained that I had no bombs, but he had taken two overloaded blasters in his face. Also, I hadn't been gloating, just congratulating his attempt. I freely admitted I got lucky. He made a few more comments to justify his wounded pride, and I let it slide. I guess my point is "all that is gold does not glitter, all that wanders is not lost" what you think is easy pickins may not be, and if you get sent to the cleaners, have a little grace.

Probably my best experience was my first night in Kessel with a Vette group. It was the last night it was a free-fire zone, and I claimed five non-successive kills without a single loss. It was also my first time PvPing.
I also went 20:1 until I started getting sloppy and participated in a PvP event, now I'm 35:4 and don't intend on buying it again for quite some time.
I still haven't broken my two-time single engagement record of three-on-one yet.

i was heading for the dant station in my tail-kicking X-Wing overted [Sogua IV isher name]
i see something in the distance: AN OVERT DECIMATOR, right next to the station
i rush over hoping it doesn't land before i blow it sky-high, so excited i was on my approach
its guns are gone and engines at 99%, but shields were full and armor was fine
so i open my s-foils, swoop from above onto its head, pounding away
right when its systems are well below 25%, it lands
i told the pilot, "dang i ALMOST had you lol"
and he replies, "sneaky ass rebel scum"
lol
we swapped tells, saying this ain't over
nowwe're bothsort of "arch enemies"and i hope i can finish the job sometime soon
btw, i'm only a 3343 Vortex Squadron Pilot

I was in Deep Space with my Interceptor when a B-Wing chased me down. Much like the person above, I flew out unscratched.
In my case, I ran from my opponent, looking backwards as he caught up. I didn't have the shields to joust, so I had to sucker him in. When he started shooting, I dodged and turnd tight loops on him. I went for fast passes and lots of fast turns. I flew in, then counter-turned on my way out. About four frenetic passes later, I took out the B-Wing with a single, Tier6, non-overloaded gun and a 70 speed engine.
