Thread: Which ships drop weapons consitently as loot?

My server has a severe lack of looted space weapons available for sale to the flying public.
So I was wondering what bad guys other pilots have found to drop weapons consistently.
Even with my "farming" in space from Tier 1 through 5 (I'm an Ace), I generally only pick up a weaponabout 1 time in 30 items Iloot. I get tons of armor and capacitors, some reactors, and a few droid interfaces, buthardly any weapons.
So - what have you found that drops a high ratio of weapons?

Not tried to conslusiveness, but I noted last night I got more weapons than usual, and I just found a spawn with only "heavy"-type ships (tier 3). Might be worth keeping and eye out for such a spawn at least.

it is completelly random, i got 5 weapons last night in one hour but i am looking for a better capacitor, i got zero of those..
best weapon loot of the night.. some t and k blaster with 3900 damage.. but only .54 to shields and .45 to armor

I don't buy that it's perfectly random because I'm a shipwright as well who averages only about 1 weapon per 3-4 hours of loot farming, and I've been doing this for 2 months now.
Sorry, I too have been looking for any help on getting weapon drops, but so far I don't see a pattern except for a low weapon drop rate for all ships.

For my Tier 4 grind in Black Epsilon I did the missions over and over. Not the duty missions, but after I trained my first box a mission is given - I found that, already having the Master Pilot bonus from Freelancer, I could get about 500k xp or so per mission, so right before the mission ended I'd purposely die and do it again

.In this fashion I was able to snag a 4600 max Kessel "Heavy Scorcher" Elite with .74 armor and .68 shields, if I remember correctly...that puppy is now riding on top of my Decimator, with a nice 4200 max...bah, something or other with big purple bolts on the underside - both looted while I was killing off the Tier 4 and 5 Rixharxk and Ixiyens from those Tier 4 missions.

I have so far looted only 3 Tier 10 weapons, 1 an AG-2G with pretty bad stats (I like the name) and 2 Aramek Elites with 4050 Max damage Pre RE'd.
I've also managed to get a Corellian Cap 9 with 1200 storage and 50.5 recharge.
I heard somewhere that the things you loot more often depends on your alignment. Imps get Boosters, DIs, and Armor, I think Neutrals get Weapons and Alliance gets Shields.

It may be that certain factions have a better shot at getting certain pieces of equipment - I know, however, that I got a lot more weapons and engines than anything else when I did my Imperial Grind, especially when compared to my Freelance Grind. My buddy also managed to get a fair amount of good weapons and good engines during his Imperial grind.
We're both Black Epsilon, if that helps...

Hi
Im curenlty doing storm squad and loot wise i see i gett most armor then bossters and capsitators, then some few shield and engines.and wery shelldom a wepon like 1 wepon out of 40-60 loot.

In the 10 hours I've spent (over the past few days) in deep space killing rebel tier 5s, I looted 79 components. Out of those I got only 1 gun, and it was a lvl 5 piece of junk. If someone can point me to a POI that spawns alot of tier 4 and 5 non-rebel ships I'll be glad to try my luck against those and post the results.

Killing Imp/Ties seems to net lower amounts of equipment for me then killing pirate ships. I can get massive amounts of loot killing the ships at some of the fast pirate spawns in lok and endor, where in kessel I get very little look killing ties/rebels. I've gotten a little bit of everything as I progress through the game and any differences in types of equipment hasn't been noticable for me.

I think the drop loot is completely casual, I sometimes loot weapons, sometimes caps, sometimes reactors etc etc, but finally doing the sum, I almost sure I have looted the same number of all components.
