Thread: Spawns in Kessel?

Is it me or are the spawns really low in Kessel? I tried for the second time tonight to do the first of the Master level missions and I spent all my time looking and almost none fighting.
Feels like I'm never gonna master....

It's low. Feel lucky that the actually increased it in the last patchfrom what it was before

It's absolutely nothing like it was when I reached Ace Pilot. I was one of the last people to down the Corvette before Kessel became a PvP zone. When I first went to Kessel as a Tier 3 pilot with our squadron in Dark Legion, you couldn't travel more than 1.5km without finding another npc dogfight going on. Now, you're lucky to come across another ship every 3km. I believe the Kessel spawn rate is directly related to the number of people in the area, and when the area was full of wing squads due to needed backup for pvp, spawn rate was never a problem, 3 people could get the 30 kills in 10 minutes. I went in solo and got my 30 kills in around an hour, and the vette, god it was so much harder back then, even though I soloed it then. Anyhow, yeah, the spawns there suck now.

gotta know where to look... most of kessel is dead but there are a couple of good spawns (at least on shadowfire). I find plenty of tier 5 fighter action there.

About two weeks ago I did the 30 TIE mission in kessel. It took me 2.5 hours... and not because I can't aim

Must be a server to server thing. I've never had trouble finding spawns. I did my 30 ship mission in less than 40 minutes. I did notice that it sometimes takes a couple of minutes for ships to start spawning if I'm the only player in kessel though. Set your radar range to 8k, the ships are there somewhere.

Spawns are sparse but the battles tend to happen in the beginning -> end paths of the imperial vette. That is where I do my general hunting.

Took me 2.5 hours on Tuesday. I just kept flying towards the asteroids and once I targetted a rebel ship, I flew towards it in hopes i would find a tie.
