When I go to the first trainer (Lt. Akal Colzet in Bestine), there is an option to ask for training. When I use it, he says that I don't have the experience to apply to training (although I do!)
The first tier II skill that I got was from Commander Oberhaur in the capital building in Bestine. Now, when I talk to this guy, he tells me about how to find Morv (for a quest). I've already found Morv, and tried to complete the quest (to kill a guy in a millenium falcon), but I keep failing, partially because I can't get any more training.
Is there a different imperial pilot trainer I should go to?

No, you actually have to complete the quest where you kill the guy in the YT-1300 (millenium falcon type) ship before you can be trained. You may want to ask another pilot for help.

Ok, thanks. I feared that may be the case. I'll try again. I may be able to solo it.

Just my opinion, but if you are set on trying to complete this mission alone, then go for the turrets first. once you've taken them out the yt is an easy target.
if you do decide that you need a handI can help you out whenever I'm online, just drop me a tell and I'll help get that mission finished up.
