Thread: Unload parts from an un-Cert'ed ship?

I mastered one path of the Imperial Navy and decided to resign and get back to Freelancing. I stripped and redeeded all the ships keeping onlya TIE Advanced with a reactor and engine in order to travel. I resigned in Theed and, knowing I would not be able to travel with a TIE anymore, hitched a ride to Mos Eisley. I found a trainer and began a career as a Smuggler's Alliance Pilot, only to then find out that I was unable to remove the components from the Advanced, and hencewas unable to re-deed it.

A CSR ticket proved useless, as I was informed CSRs could not re-deed ships for Players (which isn't really what I wanted, I just wanted the components out so that I could re-deed it myself) and was asked to "please relearn enough Smuggler skill to re-deed ships." Yes, that was what I was told, despite the fact that it was the installed components that were the subject (and that it was a TIE, not a Freelance ship that was involved).

Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I might do, short of resigningand taking another Imperial Pilot path all the way up to 4.3.3.3? That solution, the only one provided by the CSR, seems a bit overkill,as well as an major undertaking in itself, for the purpose of unloaded two components of a single ship.

Can you trade ships directly from the datapad, like you can with Droids'n'stuff?

If so, trade the ship to an imperial Pilot, any they can remove the stuff and redeed it for ya.

If not..... Well, I don't have any other ideas.

Yeah, that's a fix from late beta when people figured out a Master could load kickass items into starter level fighters and give them to players.

A CSR helped a guildmate with this very problem (he had left his reward engine on a ship I believe when he switched pilot professionsl).

I do not know the mechanics of what happened, but he got all of his stuff back from the ship that he was not certified to use.

It was done in the past, not sure if a policy has changed or you just caught a CSR having a bad day.

This same thing happened to me awhile ago. I resigned freelance and joined up with the Rebellion. Problem was, I didn't realize I wouldn't be able to manage a ship I was no longer certified for, and I left all my components on my Dunelizard. I filed a ticket, and maybe 10 minutes later a CSR showed up and took all the components off my ship and dropped them in my inventory, no problem. I think you just caught a CSR in a bad mood or something, because they helped me with the same problem you're having.

i had a csr do this for me last week. i was tier 3, epsilon squad, and dropped it before i cleaned and redeeded my interceptor and bomber. i submitted a ticket, and had it done as soon as i was on for the csr. she pulled the ships out of my dpad, stripped them, and gave me all the parts and deeds back.

one of my best csr experiences

you should ask for another / cluefull csr.

fwiw: my probs were on wanderhome. i can see if i can find the csr's name if you want me to.

I did that once too, so I just mastered another faction in the same profession to unload parts. I then changed over to the one I wanted. Hey, it got me another badge heh.

Thanks for the replies, I'll try another CS ticket today and see how it goes.

*Edit* All straightened by a wonderfully helpfull, tall, green, and handsome Trandoshan CSR is a spiffy blue and white outfit. Thanks again for letting me know that they really could solve my issue.
