To pass off the bugged alarm you could say it was a red alert alarm and when it keeps going in non combat situations you can say the computers broken and canot afford to fix it yet when you leave it alone (Land) it might stop as it fails to get the attention wanteed or when u reedeed it becasue its very aragent obivisly you can pass it off as this untill they fix it
