Ok I have done this mission more than a dozen times. At the escort Decoy shuttle and Desroy 4 waves of enemy fighters. Well heres my prob I desroy atleast 5 waves every time and still get a mission failed becuse 4 waves wasn't destroyed. The very first time I did it I got the mission success msg but then the transport got destroyed right after. I have took freinds who have done the mission and they all say that I should have gotten a mission success but never do. Anyone else have this prob?

Are you destroying the wave before the next one spawns? As if you don't completely destroy the wave and thenext thenspawns it won't count towards the 4 wave total.

You must see the message "All fighters destroyed" flash across the screen for the wave to be considered destroyed, and count for your 4 wave total.

Yes I have destroyed 5 waves and the next wave always comes in while I target the last fighter of the previous wave and get the msg 1 fighter remains. I target the last fighter of the wave before I even start on the next wave. But still no success. Doe you have to destroy all fighter before the next wave comes? If so that makes no sense becuase I still destroy the first 4 waves every time. And I did get the Message all 4 waves destroyed the very first time I tried it but the shuttle got destroyed by the fifth wave and failed the mission. I have done it the exact same way on the rest of the times I tried it.

Ok I see what your saying so I do have to destroy all waves before the next one comes. Well that doesn't make any sense on why they would do it thats way. But thanks for the help.

The message is wrong, you have to destroy more than 4 waves, not sure how they count, but had to do more like 6 waves + when I passed this mission.

Glad I could help. When I was doing this mission, I ran into the same thing you are now, and thought I was doing something wrong. I invested in harder-hitting weapons and a Weapon Overload 3 chip. These allowed me to take out all the fighters in a wave before the next wave arrived. After 4 waves the shuttle was away.
