I am 3/4/3/3 Rebel Pilot, should I remain in my X Wing or beef up a Y Wing LP?

The X Wing has much better maneuverability then the LP but the LP has much more mass. It really depends on your flying style as to what best suits your needs. I stuck with my X Wing the the way to Master, and never looked back, but the Y Wing family has its uses and with a good engine it can be 'resonable' at getting around. The one big difference with the Y's is the fact you can pack them so full of high level parts

Can you fly the Y well?

If you can, stick with it. I hopped to the X-Wing when I had the chance, only to find that in the end, for my style the Y-Wing could pack more of a punch. So I hopped back to it in the final few Tier 4 missions.

Don't get me wrong, a X-Wing is great, but the Longprobe has more mass to work with.

Personally, i'm a fan of the x-wing. But I also have lots of looted low mass parts in it

the x-wing is great, but you have to know how to utilize its strength: firepower. dont bother using high mass parts in anything but the guns, or possibly the cap or maybe shields. then use an engine overload program and it turns into a-wing with three weapons

Each craft has a personality. It all depends on what you like, and what your flying style is. My personal opinion is that the X is a far superior craft, that is my opinion. I've finally came to grips with my A-wing, the X requires to be treated roughly, lots of throttle modulation (the Y is the same way, except it is much slower). You cannot fly the A the way you fly a X or a Y, I set the throttle to 75ish percent, and dog fight with no hands on the throttle. I've also found that high pitch yaw rollengines are better than high speed engines, so, it's all up to you to figure out what you like best. There is no "composite" in jtl, it's all customizable, and it's up to you to figure what you like, and what works for you.
