Hello,
Does anybody know if after you have recieved your Crimson Tie, can you drop your faction, become a rebel, then try doing the Kashyyyk station mission again for a heavy Xwing?

And if so, will it suffer the same bug the JSF/ARC170 have?

Yes you can have it, but as soon as you drop imp you wont be able to manage it. You get certed for the RotW quest ships in all 3 trees, but the special faction ships are certed to their factions only.

On top of that they're quest linked too, so you couldnt even sell your useless chassis to another pilot, since he couldnt use one unless he had one anyway.

Is there a way to get the Corvette mission in Kashyyyk to earn the TIE once you have the Heavy X-Wing? I dropped Rebel to get the Imperial Squadron badges (yeah, space junkie am I) and I already did the Rebel quest and got the X-Wing. Kashyyyk station will send me to Emya, but Emya only tells me to talk to the space station, I can't seem to get the mission for the Corvette.

Didnt think about that. No, I think its impossible to do one once you got the other. When you drop your pilot faction, you reset all your space quests. However, the CPG quests are split between ground (those given by Emya) and space (those given by Rian). When you reset them, Emya still treats you like you've done all his quests, but Rian treats you like she's waiting for you to finish a ground quest to advance to her next space quest. And the Imp station wont give you the mission till you've cleared all the CPG space missions.

Maybe they'll fix this when they fix the weak merc bug.

Go to the Imperial station. You don't get the factioned Corvette quests from the Kashyyyk station, but the Rebel/Imperial stations.

heh i assumed he already tried that...if you can get the mission from the imp station then you're all set. But I think the last mission from the Kash station is one that gets reset when you drop pilot. Try and see though I may be wrong.

Ok so this hasn't been confirmed yet then. Can anyone confirm this? DOes anybody here have both? In my opinion the Heavy Xwing seems better then the Crimson TIE. The Tie only has 80k mass, and Xwing will have 180k, I think. Hope I didn't gyp myself.

That is EXACTLY what happens, you end up right where I am .. stuck in this loop.

Admitedly I didn't even think to try going straight to the rebel station first to see if they would give me the mission, I went first to the Kashyyk station and began the quests from there. I would guess that the rebel/Imperial station would not give it to you anyway as you need to have Rians quests completed.

At this point the rebel station only offers to go overt.

(I did the Vaksai quest, then dropped neutral and went Rebel ace, I soo want a HX-wing)
