Hi,
I just made master pilot for the smuggler's alliance 2 days ago. last night I took 5 friends up in my ship, the YT1300 "Climhazzard". We did good as far as combat goes, but i had problems controlling my ship after using boosters. What happens is that I fire the boosters and we cruise at high speed for 20 seconds or so. When the energy runs out, my ship suddenly darts hard left or hard right, and the speed resets itself to zero. I was cruising at top "normal" speed before boosting so it should go back to that previous speed right? What's making my ship dart to the side?
If I can give any more useful information don't be afraid to ask. Thanks for any help

The only thing I can think of to explain it is that you hit the edge of the sector just as your booster ran out. If its not that, then you've found a bug..

When the booster is petering out your joystick inverts. Just pull the opposite direction that you normally would.

Less the darting left or right, my Decimator does the same thing. Speed resets to zero then climbs back to last throttle position after boost runs out. No other ships I have do this.

Happens on the Nova
Also happens on the Ywing, but hardly noticable, was really noticable on the Beta

My YT does the same thing. Even when you try to compensate for it there is really no way to stop the pulling.

Your joystick inverts. Try pulling in the direction you don't want to go.

Also hit the HOME key that makes your throttle 100% before your booster depelets so that way you will be at top speed when the booster stops firing.
