Thread: OK, how do I *really* get to land at Jabba's palace?

Hi all, I need a little help with something.
I've read the post linked to from the FAQ about how to get access to various places and I would very much like access to Jabba's palace. According to that post, you can only do it if a smuggler pilot or smuggler ground prof, but here's my problem.
I have two guildies, both of whom can land at jabbas, neither of which have ever been privateer pilots, neither of which have ever been smugglers alliance pilots, neither of which have ever been smugglers on the ground, and neither of which have ever had one of these blank pass thingies, so how does one *really* get access? Neither can remember ever having to do a mission of any kind to get in.
If anyone can shed some light on this, I'd appreciate it.

You have to do the smuggler's alliance tiers of missions, and the trainers lead you to jabba's palace, which sucks, until you get landing permission, which should be after you complete the second tier mission.

But why should just being a BH have any influence on whether you can land at Jabbas? That's just sillyness of the highest order IMO

I did the Jabba Theme Park and have always been able to land there. Didn't do any SA.

Ive landed at jabbas as a brand new toon who joined Smugglers Alliance. NO badges no completed misions CL 1 landed at jabbas no problems.

The factors that control where you can land:
Your pilot profession or
your ground profession
In the initial patch note (and thus in my guide) it was said Jabba would allow SA pilots and Smugglers to land there, iirc. Since then we've learned Bounty Hunters (because they're scum too) get the rights.
It doesn't have to do with the theme park, it doesnt have to do with much of anything except those things I said. I can't recall a single post of anyone saying they were not a Smuggler, BH, or SA pilot, yet able to land at Jabba's.
