The amount of help it provides is limited. Most ships have a really hampered cockpit anyway, only certain ships would this be useful in.

Those of you who have POV hats on your joysticks, does it work for looking left, right, rear, and up out of the cockpit? Are there digital equivelants forthe commands?

The only thing I have found this useful for, is on those long ago escort missions where the frieghter is braketed but there is no arrow to point the way.You can look around real quick to find it.

I've yet to find a use for it. as for finding the brackets, as long as they show up on your radar you are set.

Too confusing imo.
I remapped my Hat to "look behind" so even touching it will give me a not-confusing rear view.
Having the view angle set a little larger so I see more peripheral means I have no blind spot, if it's beyod my vision look behind will show me exactly where it is.

With the cockpit frame turned off I use it all the time when getting into position on a gunboat. Thats about it tho.
