Thread: How difficult is the jedi starfighter mission?

My main is a rebel, my alt could go imp and do the quest but I haven't even trained novice pilot for that toon. Is the space mission doable for a novice pilot, or do I need to level up a bit before I try it?

The entire quest is on the ground to get the JSF...unless you wish to finish the quest by going into space AFTER you get the deed. Need to be about CL50+ if I remember...I had a level 80 IMP help me.

Note: You will not be able to do the quest with your alt and then trade the deed to your rebel nad still be able to use it. Your rebel pilot will have to drop rebel and go imp to be able to fly the JSF as a rebel. Not sure if htat is what you are looking to do.

You dont even need to do the space part of thequest. Once vader hands you the fighter, you can go back to being a rebel, or neutral pilot, and use it as soon as you hit 4333 pilot.

The quest up to that point is all ground based, on kashyyyk.

P.S. DO NOT drop your faction to do this quest with 6 ships in your datapad. Youll be stuck in a bad way. Make sure you have one empty slot for a ship before you drop you faction to go imperial for this quest.

Also, the character that you complete this quest, is the only on that will be able to fly the jsf... You can trade it, but if the person you trade it too hasnt done the quest, he wont be able to generate the ship.

Hmm, thank you for the answers...

I see now, the deed is given before the space mission. And you say the deed is tradable, but not usable even if you are certed for it unless you are the one who did the quest?

BTW, I am a neutral pilot so i should be able to change ground faction without having to lose my deeded ships. My main is (was) a rebel jedi knight, I was concerned about dropping my rebel faction and what will happen if/when the frs comes back, but I guess there is no way to know either way!

No..the deed is NOT tradeable but is USABLE for all 3 factions.

I wouldn't suggest ditching out on Vader - if the Devs truly wanted to, they could claim you didn't finish the quest and therefore aren't entitled to the deed.

It's a relatively easy mission (at least for me, since I can tear through T3 gunboats in less than 20 seconds and T3 Novae in less than 10), but I can see where the faction switchers wouldn't want to grind up to 4333 Imp or RSF just to run it.

The deed is tradable i can prove that as I have 2 JSF in my datapad. One is my own, the second is a reward for helping someone do the Lord Cyssk mission. However, you do need to have done the quest in order to generate the deed into your datapad. As a freelance you're in the best posistion to do this. And as your alt isn't trained in any pilot skills, they are also in a pretty decent position, especially as we are on double xp at the moment. It's possible to turn Imp, do the quest, and then go rebel in 1 night. As someone said above, you do need to be around CL 50 to finish this, and you do need to be Imp combatant for the 3 phases. Once Old Darth gives you the deed, noogie him, call him a sucker and run off with your nice new PvP boat . It's worth the hassel to go imp for a night for this. It's weird to see the bad guys purple i must say, but was a nice change for the night Good look with your covert operation in gaining the ship from the hands of the Evil Empire. We need as many upper hands as we can get in fighting this dictatorship

The reason I don't think they could force the Vader mission on anyone is because he's giving you this ship to use in the last leg of the mission. Forcing you to actually DO the last leg of the mission to use the ship is going against the story arc. You have to be able to hop in the ship to do the mission.

Im in the same boat as you. Competed template knight, with more than half the Jedi trials done...

I had concerns over going imperial for a day, and how it would effect my trials, or the future FRS. But as it stands now, there is nobody to ask questions reguarding the FRS...

My best guess using everything i know about how the devs work is this.. As long as im back to the way i was before i went imp for a day, the system will never knowI was imperial.

In any case, its too late now, and atleast ill know why i have to do my trials over when the FRS restarts...
