Can anyone tell me which squadron is which? Like this:

Vortex: Which planet is the Vortex pilot trainer on?

Havoc: Which planet is the Havoc pilot trainer on?

Phoenix: Which planet isthe Crimson Phoenix pilot trainer on?

Cause I picked the one on Naboo, and I was wondering which was which. Thanks.

Holy crap, I joined Vortex?! Well, too late to get out of it now. I mean, I'm not going to quit and start my Alliance skill tree all over again!

Why is it that "Holy crap, I joined X?" is always the response that people give after stuff like this? You never see people say "Awesome, I joined Y!". It's always regret.

People that care about what they join check in advance

People that read that certain squadrons are tougher/easier make these posts.
And with Vortex on Naboo and Storm on Tatooine they usually picked wrong

Hi there,

I'm about to try my hand at a new squadron after mastering SA, and was wondering what the differences are between the Rebel ones.

Are any more fun than others? Any insanely difficult or broken?

Thanks for the help.

none are insanely difficult, Vortex is a bit harder than the other two, and it has the neater story, in my mind.

Crimson Pheonix's Tier 3 stint in Dathomir will have you kicking yourself in the teeth after a while. The missions aren't bad, its the damned yardtrash getting in the way.

Yeah yeah, keep in mind when I flew it, I was A) barely half the pilot I am now, having only played XvT for a couple weeks and the Beta to train, B) had only Reactor Overload and Engine Overload, C) was without CapShunt (hadn't been introduced yet), and D) still noob enough not to have a full suite of RE'd parts or high quality crafted pieces to work with.

Tier 3 was a pain in the ass, Tier 4 and 5 were nothing.

And do you think I was any different when I flew Vortex?

As seen in my sig, i've done all 3, so here are my thoughts.

Crimson Phoenix wasn't so bad, but since i did that one as my first squadron, i was new to all of the tricks of the trade, so i think i made it harder on myself than it coulda been, but nonetheless it was still alright

Havok was a joke imo, i dunno fi it was because of the 5x xp i was getting (did it in 2 days during double xp week), but the missiosn were no trouble for me since i ended up acquiring all the xp i needed during the missions, the only thing holdign me back was the mission itself, and that wasn't too bad

Vortex took me longer than i expected. For 1, tiers 2 and 3 are at the abandoned rebel base on dant, so if u dont get the landing privileges at the space station, ur in for some long treks. Also, the entire squadron tier 2 onward is all escort missions. This is both a blessign and a curse for the followign reasons: the fights during the missiosn were very easy and fast (blessing) but, the missions take a damn year to complete (curse).
