A few days ago I noticed something really weird, most likely a bug that may not be related to the pilot profession but affects only pilots.
I got 4 crates of 25 all-purpose repair kits (9850 repair each), pulled one to repair my ship and stored the rest in my backpack.
Everytime I am about to launch to space I take the time (15 secs) to cycle through all my components in the manage window and repair the damaged ones.
The weird was that the uncrated tool in the highest level of my inventory still has all its repair power, but then the crates in my backpack has lower repair power now, like if the repair system is using the crates as tools, even if there is an uncrated tool to use.
The game should check for uncrated tools in the highest inventory level, then in backpacks, then in crates and autopull a tool.
This bug is similar to one smugglers had some time ago when the original slicing system would use charges of the crates of precision laser knifes instead of autopulling PLK as happened with other tools (clamps, AUKs, WUKs).
Anyone else noticed this? I guess alot of pilots go to Deep Space to get decay free repair, but maybe someone is using tools like I do.
