Hi guys. I've had a (crewless) Nova courier for some time now which hasn't really been used. Many of my guildies have recently starting working on pilot with their alts(myself included) so i decided to grind tier 1 xp by parking the Nova in a tier 3 spawn point in endor. I had the following issues / questions.

1) admin - does not work at all (either using terminal or /setperm admin (name) ).

Is there a way to get this to work? it says (such an such) has been added to admin, then when u check they are not.

2) Droid commands could not be used by anyone except me. I could sit in the ops chair and run all the overloads just fine. But when i tried to operate cap to shield shunt with my alt (sitting in both the turret and ops chair) i got a message saying the droid is not programmed for that command - it works if I do it in the ops chair.

Is this because my alt is a newbie privateer whilst I am rebel ace and she cant use the droid interface because its a level 10? or am i doing something wrong?

I also could not see the astromech commands with my alt, i had to make macro's with the commands, give them buttons, than assign to the toolbar slots.

Any ideas guys an gals?

I have a YT 1300 and Only neuts can co pilot only neut aces can fly it.

My copilot has full access to all *my* droid commands in addition to their own pilot skills. Even if they are only a novice neutral pilot.

He can run all overcharges and shield shunt's fine that i have programmed onto the V6 Flight comp.

However the Admin list is broken. It reads blank states that the person has been added, then stays blank.

I havefilled tickes and bug reports but nothing.

So my crew cant use the repair kits in the tool chest, or even sit down on the couch.

Making the Elite engine faster than the Mark V engine, and fixing the admin list I feel should definitely be top priorites.

By Neutral you mean Privateer right? as opposed to ground faction?

If so, thats going to throw a really big spanner in the works for me crewing a YT-1300 on my alt (when she hits master) - every other pilot i'm guilded with and know is Rebel!

Only the same space faction can sit in operations chairs. Only people sitting in the operations chair can run droid commands. At least that is what I've seen during my time in space.

Also, the guns only seem to be effective when the pilot is in their chair. We were testing mining the other day and I would like up a shot and join a buddy in the other turret. We could shoot but there would be no damage unless I was in the pilot's chair. I found this to be a very annoying bug.

Gunners should be able to run the programs too from what i've read (i think). Or is that just use their pilot abilities?

I had no problemsdamaging stuffwithout a pilot, i parked myself in the ops chair to shunt and left my alt + a friend in turrets and everything worked fine ... however, mining is something else

The idea of needing a person to sit in the ops chair to press shunt every now and then is a bit sucky - who the hell would want that job?

For the Admin list, yes its broken. Just divy out the repair kits to your crew members before you engage. This is a decent workaround, plus it saves time during the chaos and alarms from them actually having to locate a repair kit and then used it, rather than just running up to the panel and repairing said component.

The droid commands are specific to what flight computer is installed in the ship. So you would need to load those commands into your fkeys. Ctrl-A when your sitting in the ops chair and load the specific ones needed. You can even man a turret and call droid commands. Which helps when you are flying with lesser experenced pilots (xp grinding etc...) Another little bug I noticed, is you do not see the droid command initiated screen or the droid ready for a new command notice.

Hope this helps.

thanks, glad you confirmed that . Still, my alt cannot see anything under Ctrl+A, does the gunner / operations officer have to be the same pilot faction? or ground faction?

I'm a rebel pilot and my alt is smuggler alliance. Should she be OK in the ops chair to run droid commands?

The operations chiar must be same faction. You can not get the astromech programs loaded into your toolbar unless you are in the ops chiar. Anyone can man a gun however I do not beleive that a different faction pilot can run programs from thier turret. There may be a work around in that you load a comp out exactly as the POB you will be gunning on setup your toolbar then take the turret and see if that works. If not then you will have to be same faction and get the program list from the ops station.

Thanks! I think you answered my question . I made macro's for the droid commands using /droid droidcommand (or whatever it is) and it said they weren't loaded, which they were. So I guess that means you have to be the same faction....
