A friend of mine had this problem for a while, and it comes up here now and then. Hm.. and I just realized I have no suggestions as to how to fix it (my buddy was right about to upgrade his connection anyway, and when he did that it went away), but yes, it does happen to other people, and there should be some way to set it straight.
I'm almost positive it doesn't have anything to do with /follow. Bad server load's a possibility, it really seems like some sort of connection-related problem.

Ok, ive had this once before and thought it was just a fluke but it has happened once again last night.
I get up in space and targeting ships is literally IMPOSSIBLE due to the fact that they are all hopping all around like mad and I cant hit them at all.
My friend said that when I got up in space and he was looking at my ship, my ship itself was hopping all around as well.
Is this due to using the /follow command on a wing mate? Bad server/client load?
Anyone?
Please?

It's a separate issue from zone walls. There's a thread discussing some possible causes here.

I've noticed several things about space lag. One; never use follow. It causes rubberbanding. Two; bouncy NPCs are either the invisible walls in space or lag affecting their movement. If you ever get bouncy NPCs, then relog. It's about all you can do.
