Does anyone fly a Ywing LP in PvP? I wanna know the best way to load one out.

All things being equal, your main choice boils down to heavy guns or heavy tubes. The fire pattern is nice and tight, and hitting with both guns would seem pretty easy, but if you're fighting with many friends, then loading 2 launchers for bear might be moreworth it. A highYPR engine is a must.

I guess my only problem is that it will take me forever to accumulate enough L10 engines for a good RE. Finding one with 90+ speed will take forever x2.

Not really. A Y-Wing LP is pretty much made to be a boom-and-zoom fighter. I would definately avoid slowing down to get into a turning dogfight due to the Y-Wing's poor PYR. Fast engine, big guns and abig booster might make an interesting experiment.

I meant by my earlier statement is to go with a player crafted engine. It's easy to to get 100+ speed. After all you shouldn't need to worry about time to turn if no one can keep up with you.A big if I think.

To be honest... I would sooner try to use a standard Y-Wing... it is a little more manuverable and you can focus on only one gun.

Well, as I said in an earlier thread, I think I am going to produce some documents on my personal use of the Ywing and Xwing (stock and adv.) in PvP to counter Leaphs sadomasochistic love of the Awing.
That and the fact Yanus likes to brag about his "bathtub of death" in PvP too, its time I revealed the secrets of the art of killing nubships and totally embarrassing them too.
I will think something up tomorrow when I am sober.

I kinda like the inertial sliding on the Y-Wing with an L10 on the back. Put a couple good guns in the mounts and an L8 reward shield, and she'll do the job.
