Posted this in the JtL forums as well, but thought I would see here...Anyone know if SWG supports them, and if so does anyone use them?

They should just be another joystick axis, my joystick has rudder paddles on it, and I use them for Roll Control.

There are separate entries in the options keymap for all 3 axis: yaw, pitch and roll

I don't have pedals but as long as your comp recognizes the control I don't see why you should have a problem getting them to work.

Enjoy

Well, there may be a complication in that SWG only lets you specify one joystick in the launchpad game options.

I've never tried to use pedals in JTL, though.

I used the F16 FLCS/TQS/RCS (stick, throttle, rudder pedals) and it worked perfectly. But that was because they are one entity in the game controllers panel. If your game controllers panel lists the rudder seperately from the stick they won't work because SWG only supports 1 joystick.

I have CH stick, throttle and pedels and they work in game. Since SWG only recognizes one controller I have to combine them in the CH Manager software before entering the game. It's not an SWG thing, I have to do this for my flight sims too.

Damn. That would be fun to try.

Space really "opened up" for me when I got my Force Feedback stick with thrust control. I can't imagine rudders as well.

Talk about immersion, and a workout!

Is there a program that can trick SWG into thinking that the pedals and joystick/throttle are one controller? Cuz I really am only into the fly aspect of the game now, and kinda want more immersion. I was looking forward to a balance, but by the sounds of it SL is going to come out of it revamp worse off then before it had one.....

Most flight systems (CH, Thrustmaster, Saitek, etc.) will work if they have rudder pedals available. Reason being is that they all usually run off of a seperate program that runs in the background of windows.

The Joystick/Throttle/Pedals are usually daisy chained and connect to one port in the back of your system (either the game port of your sound card or a USB port).
