Okay so I disabeld his yacht. I escorted it back to base. I get told it transmitted a message to a merc in the Yavin system.
So I go to Yavin I go to the waypoint. I see a TIE fighter that's attackable and listed as a "Rebel Spy" so I disable and inspect it like the mission says to do. It turns up nothing.
Suddenly theres a new spy. I repeat the process. Still nothing.
I've encountered about 12 of these "Rebel Spies" now with nothing upon inspection. Is this mission glitched? Am I stuck never going to be able to train up in Tier 3 because Inq. Vrke wants me to do this mission first?
Can someone PLEASE tell me how the heck I complete this mission and what if anything I'm missing? I've abandoned/aborted and retried twice now with the same result once I hit Yavin...

Double check the wording in your quest journal. Make sure it said rebel spy. A suble word difference between agent and spy does matter. Also some missions, where your have to pick out a ship from spawns, the target ship can be as far as 3K meters from the given waypoint sometimes. You may sometimes also have to clear all the spawns out of the area on a given waypoint to get rid of any "placeholders".

It says a mercenary fighter. But I did a /target for that and nothing show up.
Also the Rebel Spy tie fighter showed as a red box before I even targetted it just like other significant enemies for other missions.

/target doesnt always work.
Look for a mercenary fighter. It may be something like "hutt mercenary fighter" or something like that.

Yes, I think it is a lizzy. And it does have a tendency to spawn a ways away from the mission waypoint. In fact I think it shows yellow on the scope.
