First off, I'm a perma noob. I am 2333 rebel pilot with the LP Y-wing. I have a level 6 cert droid interface installed. I also have an Astomech cert 4 with zero armor CL1 droid (got real cheap). However, the when the droid is loaded it's highlighted RED. I have no added abilities in space ctrl-a/astromech.
What am I missing? A flight computer? Okay, where does that go? I'm a noob walk me through it. Does it help to have armor on Droid?

Also, astromechs and flight computers both show as red when loaded, that's okay.

If you couldn't use the droid, you couldn't load the droid, so you CAN use it, the red is just highlighting the active droid/FC. Your problem is likely that you didn't load any programs. Go out and buy chips for Weapon Capacitor Overload 3, Weapon Overload 3, Engine Overload 3, Reactor Overload 3 (might not be needed, but better to have it) and Capacitor to Shield Shunt 3, they're the "must-have" programs and are only programmable by other pilot factions, but anybody can use them.

Thanks for the help. Am I blind or is your guideNOT referenced in the Pilot FAQ? If not, it SHOULD be.

you need to go into your datapad out of your ship, and then right click on the droid or flight computer, go to program droid, and there you can load all the stuff you have currently qualified for or buy droid chips and get wht you dont have, esp if its engine overload, weapon overload, weapon capacitor overload.. etc..
