Thread: Is this a rare for a level 10 droid interface?

I don't have the exact figures, but it's a level 10 looted D.I. with a command speed of 30 (blah), a drain of around 700 (hmm), and a mass of 1k(...?) Is that mass particularly good?

Check and see what the RE level is for the DI. I've had this happen and typically that level is 1.

Okay...umm....I either need this cleared up for me...or I need to clear it up for everyone else.
I've seen alot of posts referencing DI's with a command speed of 30 seconds as good components.
But other than as RE items to combine with others of the same type with differing good stats..I can't see how.
I looted a Level 10 DI a week or two ago myself. Its got roughly the same stats (though I may be off because I'm not looking at the stats on it right now) but it has a 9.6 second command speed.
Personally the lower speed number...to me = faster reuse times...right? And the faster you can shunt..the more alive you stay.
So if someone could clear this up for me....why...in any case but RE'ing several DI's in of which at least one had a lower command speed timer...would a DI with a 30 second command speed be good?
I mean I just hate to think I'm missing something critical here, but so far lowering the command speed on my DI's has seemed to be a good thing....but of course my DI is an integral part of how I fly..I don't just rely on going really really fast so no one can hit me.

Lower command speed is better. SOE themselves got it wrong at JTL launch. So L1 looted/crafted DI's had below 15 command speed (now pre-nerf). They fixed so L1 DI's got around 30 speed and L10's around 10 speed. Still some old L10's with 30 speed around.
To further confuse the issue there are a lot of DI's that have different cert and re levels, so cert 10 DI's with RE level 1 is a DI with cert 1 DI's stats. Yet plenty of people just see a L10 DI with 30 speed and assume higher speed is better.
That all aside, DI's are fairly simple, lower is better on every stat it has.

Okay good...just wanting to make sure.
My guild is starting to field alot of pilots and we're getting lots of POB crews up and I'm answering alot of questions on what appears, to me, to just be common sense...and I wanted to make sure I wasn't giving out bad info.

Level 10 DIs all seem to fall in the 9.6 to 10.6 range for speed. When I had my 9.6 REd it came out at 9.1 speed.

I have a couple of those Level 1 <15 speed D.Is. They're pretty nice considering their weight

I looted a few Cert 10 DIs with shocking stats, Level 10 mass but Level 1 command speed and RE of Level 3. Best speed I have is a 9.6. Also, you got to 9.1 because REing boosts the stats, I think its a 6% boost when REing level 10 components.
