Ok, I just started really getting into space and ships. Just got my first ship after the start, a y-wing longprobe. So Im trying to upgrade my parts and I really dont know what Im doing, or what all those numbers really mean. If anyone has a link to a thread that explains each ship component and its function and how its stats effect it, that would be awesome! Or if anyone wants to give me the info here thats fine too.

There is a sticky called: Learning To Fly! -=* A step-by-step guide for novices *=- (no, not the Tom Petty song) . It helped me get started on my current obsession of always looking for a better or lighter component for my craft.
The FAQ can be helpful as well.

You might want to look for a heavy z95 headhunter, it's a better dogfighter then the y wing and you can't really take advantage of the y wings mass untill your able to use higher level certs.

  1. Read the Pilot FAQ 3.0 and it's various out-links until your eyes bleed and you scream for mercy

  2. Put theory into practice

  3. Read it again
