So today I lit a match in my house, and the smoke alarm went off.

"Damn." I said, "Thats annoying, but its for my own saftey!"

Anyhow, I put out the match, opened all the doors and windows in my house, and let the smoke blow out. Well, I checked all around my house for smoke, and it was gone. But for some reason, my smoke detector was still going off!

**BEEP** **BEEP** **BEEP**

At first I thought maybe I could live with it. But after the second hour I started going insane. I decided that maybe if I cooled down, if I left and came back it might take care of itself. I walked down the block, and you may not belive me but I could still hear the alarm one block away from my house!

**BEEP** **BEEP** **BEEP**

Then, I thought that maybe if I somehow damaged my house, then fixed it, the alarm might realize that all was once again good in my house. I called my friend over (he likes to start fires) and we built a blaze in my bedroom, promtly leaveing the house.

Minutes later, the fire department had arived and had the blaze under control. But over the sound of being told I would probably be sued for insurance fraud I heard a familiar sound:

**BEEP** **BEEP** **BEEP**

Sadly, I could think of nothing else to do but take all my furniture to the bank for safe keeping and sell my Multiperson House for a tasteful Single Apartment. I would have to wait until God fixed the fire alarm problem in the next upgrade.

the General Surgeon has issued a recall of all defective smoke detectors. In a short while you will be able to put it back into the box it came in and ship it back... with the miracles of the technology age you will get a new detector instantly... unpack it and it will work properly.

just give it a few days for all the companies to get the recall notice.

I had this problem a few nights ago, a few friends and I got a little too big for our britches with my decimator in deepspace and tried to take out a vette, needless to say the alarms were blarring, even after a repair comming out of DS. I had to log to eat, and came back about an hour later, planning to empty the ship and redeed it to fix them. Much to my suprize, no alarms! I know logging out until the server forgets you isn't always an option, but if you can it works until the fix goes in, and takes about as much time as redecorating.
