There really are no "perfect" parts. It's random, based on the quality of the loot you find and buy and then RE.

Needless to say, it's kind of hard to get a "perfect" fighter using SW-made parts.

I hate to say it, but you really need to learn how to manage your ship if you want to have a prayer on becoming ace,or survive in pvp, someday. The various guides do a good job, look through them and experiment.

Take time out and talk to a SW. You need them for RE parts anyway.

Ona ship like the grevious fighter or JSF, the engine is possible key to how the whole ship will funtion.

Since that ship is already agile enough, when looking at engine you dont need to worry about P/Y/R much, just top speed. a nice Mark IV engine with around PYR: 59, speed: 100 can be nice for around 15k-20k mass.

Cap and armor are way too heavy...if an armor is above 5k mass i send it to the dealer.....you can get a lighter cap and with almost as good stats, run CO3 and WO3 and wont have to worry about it

This is my Belbullab:

Reactor:

Crafted Mark I, 1328 mass, 12391 generation

Engine:

Loot, 9567 mass, 67 YPR and 82.2 speed

Shield:

Crafted, 18046 mass, 1700 front/back and 10.82 recharge

Front Armor:

Crafted Mark III armor, 5503 mass,757 armor/hitpoints

Back Armor:

Loot, 4694 mass, 957 armor/hitpoints

Capacitor:

Loot, 4460 mass, 707 capacity, 41.9 recharge

Booster:

Loot, 1261 mass, 30.3 acceleration, 23.2 speed

Droid Interface:

Loot, 4951 mass, 17.3 speed

Weapon 1:

Reward gun, 15296 mass, 1700-2324 damage,0.610 vs shields,0.450 vs armor, 26.9energy per shot,refire rate 0.340

Weapon 2:

Loot, 16949 mass, 1553-2355 damage,0.500 vs shields,0.520 vs armor, 25.1energy per shot,refire rate 0.350

I could put a crafted Mark IV engine with 95.1 speed and 60 YPR, but I hate the look it gives to the ship, makes the front engines look like blades

im not trying to be rude, so please dont take this the wrong way, but that is a perfect example of how not to equip your ship. ill break it down peice by peice

your reactor with 17k mass has less energy output than a simple mkII crafted. you can easily save 14k mass right here, and could even get away with a mkI crafted.

the craftedengine has high speed and isgreat for pve butis a bad choice if you want to pvp. even though you will turn great, a player with a better engine will still out manuver you. the perfect engine for this ship is an re'd l8. i would get the quatum ion engine from the nym's starmap quest and re it with one that has high yaw, another with pitch, one with low mass, and finaly one with low reactor drain (drain is important!).what you end up with is an engine with anywhere from mid 90s to mid 100s on speed, close to 75 ypr, around 25k mass, and below 1400 reactor drain.

for your shield, there are 2 ways you can go. first is a mkIV crafted with 1900 f/b and 17k mass, and the other is a re'd reward shield with 2500 f/b and over 25k mass (dont bother with this unless you can find a very low mass l8 shield, something under 27k mass). what should determine your choice here is if you are going to pve or pvp with it. the light shield is more than adequete for pve since cap to shield shunt will keep your shields from ever coming down, but in pvp the extra shielding is the diference in getting blown away in one hit or being able to survive. if you use an re'd l8 shield then you can run shield adjust front extreme and end up with a 4600 front shield facing. while this wont do squat if someone nails you using a pair of re'd l8 reward cannons, it will let you take a hit from somone with wimpy crafted guns.

for armor i realy wouldnt bother in the pve loadout, your shield is fine and really when facing npcs good firepower is your best defence, but if you have room after loading everything else you want, go for some mkII or even mkIII crafted armorarmor.

your cap is only slightly better than a good l2 but is about 10 times the mass. get a pair of l2 caps, one with about 35 recharge, and anothter with close to 900 storage. re them and get a nice 1.5k mass cap that when overloaded can supply a bwing with enough power to never stop shooting.

one thing you left out is a droid interface. if you are not running overload commands, then i STRONGLY urge you to try them. the best thing for a DI is a pre-nerf l1 with 500 mass and around 5 speed, but otherwise i would go with a 18 speed mkII crafted.

booster is personal preferance. looks like you went with a meduim speed but long lasting one.personaly i like a good mkII crafted booster with 2.5k mass and 35 top speed. it doesnt last long but it gives you that bit of extra speed to close distance on someone who wants to get a missile lock on you. another good choice is a l2 re'd booster.

for weapons a good pvp loadout is a pair of quickshot mkIV blasters. dont bother with max dmg guns, they take away from min dmg to add to max, so the average doesnt go up much at all. get some guns that were crafted with the quickshot subcomp. it will lower refire rate to .27 or so instead of .35, which is a MASSIVE improvment. odds are you will one shot kill in pvp anyway, so the ability to pump out weapons fire faster means you got a better chance at getting the first hit in. now this wont always kill in one hit, especialy if someone is running adjust on a 2500 shield, so i would start collecting l7 and 8 loot guns to make some nice re'd cannons.

so to wrap is uphere is a loadout that is very effective and not that hard to get

reactor: mkII crafted 3k mass

engine: l8 re 25k mass

shield mkIV crafted 17k mass

capacitor: l2 re 1.5k mass

booster: lvl2 re'd loot 1.5 k mass

droid interface: mkII crafted 1k mass

armor: mkIII front/mkII rear 8k mass

guns: 2x mkIV quickshot blasters ~32k mass

eventualy your gonna want more firepower. once you get some nice l7 re'd guns, use those. you can also get a good l8 re'd gun and drop you armor to fit that with a re'd l7.

My current JSF (so would work with a grevious)

Reactor: 2600 mass, 13k output
Engine: 8.8k mass, 95.9 top speed, 68 ypr
Shield: 30k mass 2555 f/b 15 recharge
Capictor: 1300 mass, 40 recharge, 712 max (doesn't matter with Cap OC)
Droid Int: 497 mass, 14.5 speed
Weapon 1: 2500-3877 damage, 25k mass, 7 on shields and armor
Weapon 2: 1900-2800 damage, 16k mass, 6 on shileds and armor

The mass is rough, but i have about 4k to play with atm, and plenty of energy. Its not exactly perfect, but it does its jobs very well.

Max out the refire rate on your weapons. I use ones .268-.260.

L6 looted caps work wonders when REed.

Use a RE L6 reward engine. On a light fighter, you can pivot circles around enemy fighters.
