Okay, let me preface my questions by letting you know that it IS possible that I am the dumbest person on earth...

Let me explain. Right now, I'm absolutely bummed that there is no tutorial for JTL, and the manual enclosed with The Total Experience borders between useless and useful as a coaster.....

I wanted to see the interface, and put out into my luxury yacht. Had no idea how to communicate, was stuck in the pilot seat, and could not get out of the space dock. It took me awhile to figure out -shift-C let me communicate, but while it brought up the dock controller, I had no way to pick something to say. No cursor, no nothing.... Worse, the manual says nothing about it....

I later tried joining the freelance pilots, and was able to take off my Scyk fighter, but it seemed that I could only go right and left, not up and down. This was an extreme amount of frustration. So...moving to my questions...

1. Anyone know a site that shows the default keybinds for space ?

2. Same site show how to set those binds to a gamepad ?

3. Any kind of quick reference I could print out so I dont forget what things are ?

4. How do I get up from the pilot seat and walk around the multi-player ship while it's still docked ?

In the searching I've done, I've found some great guides on how to kill, what to kill, detailed info on ships, and upgrades, but to be honest, I havent found anything as remedial as what I'm looking for, and I'm almost embarassed to admit it, but I need it...

i agree with you mate,i tried jtl yesterday for the first time an i still dont no all the keys,i am still not 100% how u tell what ur shields are at when not in a group. The manuel does need to be updated. Another thinki found reather frustrating was the targetting system, i found my self chasing a ship an toggleing thru every single ship in the universe till i got the right one,it was only when i asked my guild they told me about pressing x.i got jtl downloaded with rotw so i have no instructions at all.Maybe they should do a tutorial like they do for the game. One final thing i didnt like is when i brought rotw an it installed as soon as i logged on i had to choose who i wanted to fly with,an choose without much info an no way of getting around it to choose later. Now i no what i am doing,i really am enjoying it,i think its good fun, but i do think its un fair on people who hate it, an have to go to space to do missions on kash.

I'm with you..

I just wish I had some kind of FAQ with the basics, and maybe a keyboard "map" of the default keybinds so I could see what they are, and then work from there.

In my case, I have no idea really how to do anything....it's all trial by button mashing, and that's not a lot of fun. What just kills me, is that they'd send a game out without really any documentation. My original SWG, had ( as I remember ) at least an 80-100 page manual, and the total experience less than 20....

The guides here, on basic flight are great, I'd have a good idea of what to do, once I can figure out the HOW of actually doing it.

lol,i didnt even look at the guides on here i just sort of guessed. Was flying in 1st person na i couldnt do that so i hated it even more. I find 3rd person ot be a lot easyer,especially when learning, if you press ctrl an o there should key a key guide on there for what button does what.
