Hi there. First off, I wanted to say I was sorry. I have made several posts in the JTL forums about the lack of a correspondant and such, never realizing to look in the pilot of forums. I am sorry, I meant no disrespect.

I am very upset though and am HOPING your gonna be able to answer some questions for me please. I have been around since beta 2 and love this game. I also loved JTL and the all the space side of JTL and RoTW. I am on the bloodfin server and haveboth anAce Imperial Pilot andAce privateer. (I actually like privateer better) My questions for you are simple.

With the addition of RoTW the developes never cease to amaze me as to how little thought goes into the things they do. If you go into space now, any and all 4XXX or Ace pilots who are in a fighter are using the JSF or the grievous. Just llike the ground game, the developers have once again made these 2 ships alot better than the rest so ppl at least on my server are all using them. I am one of the only people who took the time to do all the space ship missions I could do and Have the JSF, the grievous, the Vaksai and the Crimson TIE. And I was crushed to find that these last two, which I wanted to most, have no real viability for an Ace pilot who spends his time in deep space.

An 80k mass TIE with only 1 weapon hardpoint? The Vaksai which I was so mad that looks just like the NPC ships, has 150k mass and ONLY 1 WEAPON Hardpoint?1? Is this a joke? Not to mention its still bugged and you cannot equip a booster on it. As our correspondant, is there any plans to give these ships another passover for balancing? Please tell me there is. I so want to use the vaksai and the TIE, but they need to be fixed, and the Vaksai needs a new ship model unlike the ones the NPC's use. These two ships are so hard to get its crazy to me how crappy they are compared to the easy to get JSF and grievous. I already have 2 of each. people on my server give the grievous away for free... Sorry for the rant, but I am hopeful youll get back to me, either with a response, or a sticky about my concerns for the developers to look over.

I have not commented on the ARC which is cool as hell but not being a rebel I cannot use it.

Look, you're not the first person to bring any of this up, some of your points are valid, and some are just wrong (primarily about the Vaksai). Since you're ranting, that's fine, but you didn't even know we had a Correspondent until you came here, so I seriously suggest you have a lot of reading of the other threads to do. There is a stickied thread on the new ships, on RotW bugs and problems, and there are lots of other ongoing discussions. Contribute to those, and let your rant (one of many many threads on the subject) rest.

I don't blame im.

It's clear that space has become the red-headed step-child.

The best "space" rewards come from? ... ground missions.

All of the new space mission rewards are not even comparable, and heavily bugged.

Many of the ground bugs and issues of wookie world have been fixed or otherwise adressed, at the very least acknowledged.

I have not found a single dev reply even acknowledging any of the space mission bugs.

Heck, they haven't even fixed the bugs from JTL. It could be a year before they get around to fixing the space bugs from ROTW.

*remembers when a regular complaint was the lack of ground/space missions and quests*

*thinks of some of the new quests that mix/match the two*

*looks at the above post*

*sigh*

Just because you don't remember the fixes we've gotten since RotW launch, and just because they don't all get patch notes, does that mean JtL is really the red headed stepchild? nahhh. Keep it up though, I do so love the "what have you done for us lately" posts.

Oh, Im so sorry psikobunny, if I am bothering you so much, feel free to not read my post. Regardless of my knowing we had aJTL correspondant as opposed to a pilot one, what does that have to do with my point?

The vaksai could, I repeat could have been a great ship, as it stands, its not. It not even original as all the damn Blacksun fly it, and there are no sepcial mods or winglets that you can even make for it. They could have given the privateers a new ship. The booster bug, if everyone knows about it and I am just ranting, then why hasnt it been fixed yet? Seems to me like it should be an easy fix.

The ship is a heavy, 150k mass, and has only 1 weapon slot? Thats just plain dumb, I have a 4200 damage gun that weigs 58k, and does less damage than my 2 14k guns on my JSF. Maybe im wrong, but there arent too many single guns that do more than 5k damage. yes, there is RE of course, but thats hit or miss at best. A big slower ship should have a sick weapon loadout, period.

And if I am sooo wrong, well go into space on bloodfin and youll see almost everyone flying the JSF and the grievous, not the Crimson TIE or the vaksai.

The missions to get them are too easy in comparison with the TIE's and the Vaksai, no?

hmm, I have a Vaksai, with a booster installed, that works great.

I try to keep up with the JTL forum as well, but I can't devote as much time to it as I do the pilot forum. It's pretty possible I read your threads but didn't respond to them; I'm more of a lurker over there.

Anyway, we've had some pretty long discussions about the new ships and how they may be unbalanced. It would be difficult to get mass or weapon slot changes made even if those were deemed necessary, but certainly the PYR stats are something I'd like them to take a look at. I think dropping them to be in line with the Advanced or A-Wing would be a good move, personally.

Of course, on Lok Pirate Radio today a dev said something about how they tend to go for building new ships rather than redoing old ones.. but that shouldn't prevent PYR changes, at the very least. I don't think that would be too terribly difficult to apply.

Just trying to point out to someone new to this aspect of the community, that there are far more productive ways to get his problems and issues addressed than to post "hey lookit me i'm ranting" post #7432910

As for your problems with the Vaksai, I addressed most of those in your original thread in the JtL board.

I fly on 'fin and I fly my vaksai all the time, it's far faster and more maneuverable than any of the JSF or grievous I've seen. Once you learn how to see the difference between a Vaksai and a regular Khiraxz, maybe you'll notice me. Look close though, it's my alt, and the ship might be moving too fast for you to get a look.
