Thread: Is there any plans on fixing pvp in space?

Right now it's pretty much a two or three shot deal and whoever gets the jump wins, normally. In PVP on the ground our dmg was reduced for PVP and I'm wondering why they can't do that in space? I for one am growing tired of the limited PVP on the ground and think JTL would get a huge boost if they make PVP in space more engaging and last longer.

Just a thought.

Also I though it would be nice to combine ground PVP and Space PVP by having a corvette or ISD something you can board and defend or attack. Can you imagine the kind of battles we would have trying to board the vette while rebs keep us from doing so? I think it would be epic and be allot more fun than the lag hole PVP on the ground.

No Npc's just players going at it. The vette already has the interior mapped along with the outside of it so I don't think it would be too hard to implement. They could easily do it with the ISD as well. Both could have turrets that could be manned and to get people to participate they could make it so it's only open on the weekends. This way it would be something special.

Either way allot of us want to PVP and find it fun. The wookie planet is nice but I almost have all the quest done already. PVP is something that is always different cause you never know what people may do. It's great for the economy as well since this is usually where we tear up most of our gear and eat most of our food.

Once Weapon Overload 3and the other messed up droid programs gets fixed most people won't be doing as much damage in PvP. One of my guildmates at a dev Q&A at fanfest asked when they planned on fixing the bugged droid programs and he was told in the next publish. I'll believe it when I see it, but here's hoping.

What's wrong with 2 or 3 shot kills in space? I die in one hit all the time.

We're not going to have this debate again are we? There's about 10 threads taht can be brought up on this subject.

PvP damage is fine how it is. Big guns=1-3 hit kills, little guns on little ships equal 5-6 hit kills. Sounds right to me.

Pvp Damage is fine - it is after all a Space based star wars fighter simulation - read the books and watch the films to understand this. What needs to be fixed is the post ROTW lack of balance (jedi composite armour fighter) and the vulnerability of POBs!
