i agree with u, its not armor it should be clothing, its not like its protecting u from anything

SonG just brought this general issue up the other day, actually, and I chimed in on it too. I don't want to see anyone unable to wear what they earned because some clothing that clearly isn't armor is being treated as such.

No timetable on any changes, of course, but I do think they'll be looking into this.

Last I heard it's clothing as long as it's perfect condition and turned into armor when it decays on death.

Heard the same thing happen with a Black Sun Ace helmet that was being used by a jedi on Intrepid with no problem, then 1or 2 days later he could equip it but use no jedi specials like it was armor.

So, I recently filed a ticket about my imperial ace helmet. I wrote saying how the helmet was considered clothing for a breaf amount of time, how do i know this? Because I am a jedi and I was able to use force powers. Well, after having the helmet for 3 days, it got bugged and it turned into armor. When I got a response to this it basically said that: "No, the helmet is not bugged, the only bug as that it was ever considered armor it should not have done that" So let me get this straight, you give me an item that has 100 condition and 0 resists and you make it armor? So it gets destroyed in 1 hit (which happened to mine)? What is up with that. I personally think the helmet should be considered clothing just like the nightsister bicep is. Lemme know what you think.

that is the exact problem I had.

I am glad to hear that it is being looked into though because I love the look.


And also, it was clothing at first like someone else said, it as at 100/100 condition, I died, but I imediately got a rez, so why would it have gone down to 0 condition - Edit: was explained in another post

While you're at it, can you get the devs to either:
a) Give aliens an option to turn the Ace Helmet in for a Black TIE Helmet thats wearable by then
b) Make the starter TIE helmet wearable by aliens

I really don't like the Ace helmet look, at least not for a TIE uniform, but since i'm Rodian its the only one I can wear.
Its stupid, its the same helmet than the starter one, just different colors. One I can wear, the other not.

But I'd be happy already, if I could turn the Ace Helmet into a black helmet. Then only Ace-aliens could wear it.

Yep same thing happened to me with my ace helmet a yesterday. I'm a jedi so i cant wear it... The worst thing is, that if i do wear it i cant use any force attacks or force heal. If you get in a fight as a jedi with it on you are completely screwed. YOU CANNOT TRANSFER ARMOR IN A FIGHT! This just leaves you to stand there.


I have heard of people using an ADK on their helmet, but thats kinda a waste of money in my view. I hope this gets fixed soon.

lol stuwie, even worse is.... if I even dare to wear this helmet. Even after taking it off, I am not able to use force powers for ATLEAST an hour while I remain bugged, offline.


One time, after wearing the helm for about 5 minutes. I took it off, and was unable to use force powers for 24+ hours even though I was logged off for 22 of those hours lol. YAY
