Have played all the X-wing series, and have played JTL long enough, but don't have time to try out all the different ships out there. Any suggestions?

You can only learn properly through experience mate. In my case, the A-wing was the ship for me.

It really depends on your flying style. I am just at home in my JSF, as in my Tie Interceptor, or if I am on my alt, my Dunelizard, or Scyk.

I'd say if you know how to fly it'll showmore in the loadout then the chassis. Common setup is L8 Engine/shield with the rest of the space crammed with weapons.

Deviate from this loadout to emphasize your and/or your chassis' strenghts. While you're basically making PvE easier any mistake hurts a lot more. For me, that's fun.

Other than the noob ships the X-wing, Tie Advanced, and Dunelizard handel well at any speeds.

Any ship that allows you to "launch" from a starport IMHO

The Dunelizard's a great all-around ship like the X-wing (jack of all trades, master of none), but once you get master, I suspect you'll like the M-22 Krayt. It's big, but it can pack a serious hurting and it handles well.

That was the main thing that I was looking for. I have flown a Scyk (sp?), Dunelizard, and currently in an Iyxen(?), but the thing just doesn't handle well. I also have a tendancy to tank a lot while flying. What about weapons? What are the death-dealers out there?
