WO3 needs to be altered so it does the same as the other WO commands.

That is, use more power, and more energy per shot.

Other commands can be used to boost reactor energy and capacitor performance.

yeah, i don't think they are going to nerf WO3 they are just going to fix it. the problem with WO3 is not the amount of powerup it gives your weapons, its the fact that it doesn't increase the amount of energy they use.

Heh, when the devs fix WO3, its going to effect EVERYBODY, in very significant ways. My advice is to start picking your shots and fire in short accurate bursts.

As for imperial ships in PvE, the only thing i can see changing, is a greater need for a RE'd capacitor, as any crapy capacitor wont due after the fix. Currtenly you can use *almost* any low mass cap, and its shortcomings are negated by CO3 and WO3 combined. I have a looted L3 powering my T/A, and i never run out of juice.

the imperial ships are fine, except the interceptor could use 2 weapon mounts. i fly both rebel and imperial, and i think they are very well balanced. i know i liked the tie/in alot more than the longprobe at tier2, and the advanced packs alot more firepower than the awing with 2 weapon slots. the oppressor is WAY better than the bwing. it handles great for its mass and is still a small target, all around the best heavy fighter in the game.

and yes, weapon overload 3 is very important, so is engine overload capacitor overload and capacitor to shield shunt (along wioth reactor overload if you need it).

As a 4-4-4-4 Imperial pilot, I recently discovered how important Weapon Overload 3 is for us in PvE. Keep in mind-- unlike an X-wing, we do not get a lot of mass for reactors, capacitors, etc. We get 65k at Tier *4*. That compares to well over 100k for any X-wing. Unlike the X-wing we do not hold THREE guns, but we hold ONE or TWO (at Tier 4).

I have never PvPed, so I dont know about that. But I do know that PvE will become VERY hard for the average Imperial pilot driving a Tie-interceptor or Tie-advanced.

Yes our ships are fast and fairly hard to hit. Yes, I understand this makes us OK in PvP. But not being able to hold SHIELDS and ARMOR and two guns in a tie advanced or not being able to hold a larger cap means we simply cannot do enough damage to PvE Tier 4 and 5 without WO3.

Now, I would be ok with REDUCING the effect of WO3 --- IF:

1) We were given more mass

2) The amount of reduction in capacitor/damage modification were not extreme.

I've just started use wo3 in my xwing. Was surprised how little juice it demanded from my cap compared to wo4 if this is a but tho I'm not to worried my cap is 1.2k with 46.8 rr 9k mass. With cap overload 4 running aswell just mean it should reduce at the same rate as it did without the overloads. As for complaining there not enough mass on a ship i find this is because everyone demands the best comp for everything. You have to be selective and find good RE components. I would say that an Awing with 60k isn't alot, but one good cannon with one medium cap and shield, with a wicked engine is all you need in that ship. You just gotta find the right parts to fit, and isn't that half the fun??
