You'd have thought they would have put it in the patch notes somewhere...

looking at the thread in the support forums, a tech posted that the code got pushed to live with the release of publish 12. i bought my x52 the next day and it works great. takes a bit of getting used to having seprate stick/throttle but im getting the hang of it and i seem to be a bit more accurate than before allready.

I haven't been in game for about a month now. Does this stick work yet? I didn't see any exclamations of joy when I did a forum search, but wasn't positive I would, either.

We have put some fixes in on Test Center today for the Saitek Joystick and gaming keyboard.

ok since x52 users will read this, how do you change the dead zones in the control panel so they are at zero? I just don't get the slider things and can't find any help. right now it is the default that looks like this:
|=======||======|
how do I work the sliders? Anyway flying with the x52 is beautiful but it feels sluggish sometimes or over responsive. Oh and I mapped a WHOLE lot of functions to my POV hats......and the covered switch is ISF scramble since I use that as a last ditch thing.

The way you diagramed it, it is at zero already. You can adjust the deadzone by grabbing one of the two inner sliders and pulling it away from center. You will notice that a grey area widens around the center point. You can also adjust the outer deadzone by sliding the sliders at the extreme right and left.
I have the same problem as you though. Even with the control panel settings set at zero and the SWG options at zero, there is a large deadzone for the stick.

The non contact Hall sensors the X52 uses to determin X and Y positions tends to be a bit inaccurate near the center of the magnetic fields. It's just a byproduct of the technology the X52 uses instead of standard Pots.

Make SURE you turn the SWG default dead zone on options to 0 when using this stick. SWG puts its own dead zone on top of the hardware one, eliminating the imposed software one makes the dead zone about what it was before, at least for me...
