I've heard there is a xp bonus if you are a master pilot of one faction and start missions for a new faction, thus allowing you do master each pilot profession faster each time. But what i'm wondering is that when i get my yt1300 and drop freelance pilot for Imperial or rebel pilot, can i still fly my yt1300 when not on a mission? so do i loose my certifications? cause i'll be mad if i do.

So.... there's no point unless your just crazy and want to master everything? This kinda seems stupid... oh well...

there is an xp bonus, every time you collect an ACE badge the amount of xp you get from each kill in space is multiplied, so if you have 1 ace badge you will get xp faster then if you have none, and if you have 2 you will collect xp faster then if you have 1 etc.

Not quite true. It depends on the number of factions in which you have mastered.

You loose all certifications. You're dropping a profession. You also lose all stocked up XP.
