Thread: Noob question on shields

After trying out kessel in my xwing (and getting killed quickly after only 4 kills) i think i need a better shield. I found 2 level 7 ones i like but im not sure which is better...
a.
Shield power = 1908
Recharge = 11.3
b.
Shiel power = 1093
Recharge = 15.1
Any ideas on which would be a better sheild?

If that shield power your listing is the front and back shield strengths then I'd go for shield a and get whatever version of the freelance pilotprogramcapacitor to shield dump thatyou can use.

I'd second that notion. The first has almost double the protection, and if you're running cap to shield shunt the lower recharge stat becomes a relatively minor issue.

Get the capcitor overload program too. You can more than double your capacitor energy and recharge with Capacitor Overload 4. Which means you can keep shooting for longer or recharge your shields a lot better with the capacitor to Shield Shunt

I'd go with capacitor overload 3 instead of 4, with that as long as you remember to repair before you use it again your capacitor will take no pernament damage.

heck I use cap to shield 4, reactor overload 4, cap overload 4, engine overload 4 and weapon overload 3 all at the same time.
I do this on both my Krayt fighter and my YT1300.My gunner(s) and I can fire at will with no worry of running out of energy. Also my guns hit HARD with overload 3.
Parts are common enough that they can be replaced if they get too damaged.

I use the version 3s of all those and I've never had any capacitor energy problems either and some of the parts I'm using in my krayt wouldn't be that easy to replace or wouldcostalot of credits I'd rather spend somewhere else.
Oh and cap to shield program works differently then the overloads so I do use version 4 there.

Silly question but are those Shipwright shields or space loot? If space loot find a good Shipwright have have them combined into one shield.
Still, get Capacitor Overload 3, Capacitor to Shield Shunt 4, Engine Overload 3, and Capacitor Overload 3 in your Astromech, and a fast droid interface.
