Thread: Choose a ship texture?

I have been reviewing the threads in changing the texture and paint on a ship and can't find what I want to know. I hate to ask again as I'm sure it is here somewhere but I couldn't find it. I used the kits I had last night to do this but it doesn't give me the option to choose which one of the six textures I would like on my ship. Is there a way to cycle all options and choose one? Do you use the paint kit first or the texture kit when you apply to the ship? Please advise. Thanks for help!

No you can't just cicle through them and choose what you like.
There are 6 Texture Kits named "Starship Texture Kit 1" to "... Kit 6"
Each kit has one charge and once you use it the ship has that texture. So to get texture #4 you need a "Starship Texture Kit 4".
#1 is the same as the texture the ship has right after creating it. In the sticky FAQ they're are links to pictures of all textures so you can choose one there and then buy a texture kit for that one.
There are also Paint kits for starships, those have two charges, one for primary and secondary color each.

you have to buy the 6 diffrent textures they dont all come on 1 kit, so you buy one try it buy another try it hehe until you find the one you like

just an FYI, the FAQ has clickies that show most of the different textures. if you see an image with 5 pictures, then its textures 2-6 and #1 the default, was left out. Also, you never mentioned, but if you're Imperial, you can forget anything about textures and paint

Yeah, I saw the pictures and that is why I was wondering about how to choose whichtexture I wanted. I like the one that I put on my ship and would have choosen it anyway if an option was available. Got lucky I guess! But wanted to know for the next time on my other ship. As for faction, I'm a rebel so I can make the changes.

You got that right! I was standing by my TIE with a spraygun about to paint some wicked flames. Suddenly I noticed Darth Vader standing behind me with his arms folded, shaking his head.
I decided not to deface his equipment, even though I paid for it.
