Come to Starsider!

No, really. I've been to a number of servers, and Starsider is the best by far for the pilot community. Where Radiant, for instance, might have 1 ship in Naboo space other than your own (which is probably a yacht with a crafter aboard it), every zone has 5-8 pilots in it, seemingly 'round the clock.

I made the move, my friends made the move... the more of us that come, the more of a community we will have.

ContactModar, Fu-xing, Vado, Bisk, Mandash, or any number of the tag-wearing, helmet donning dedicated pilots on this fine server... chances are someone can ease the moving process along. See you in space... maybe in my gunsights!

I'd welcome you with open arms. I uprooted all of my guild's and friend's characters and moved them over. No regrets yet, and some big suprises (wow! Pilots hanging around the starport preparing for missions! My first Rebel Alliance briefing room scene at the guild hall!). If I happen to get your character name, I can help smooth the transition

The more posts i see about starsider the more envious i get.
Only reason i havent moved is becaus starting over from scratch, is about as appealing to me as a trip to the dentist.

That and i cant bear to part with SW. I love tinkering with my own stuff. Ive thought of transfering my toon there, but would i be able to keep my pilot profession mastered as is or would i have to start from scratch with novice and no mastery bonus? Ive asked this before, no one seems to know.

There's a link on the front page about the character transfer service. Costs like 30 bucks to get your toon moved to a new server but all he gets to take with him are his skills. No credits or items.

ya i read some of that, you also lose all badges and faction affiliation too if i remember correctly. Thats just it, pilot is now tied to faction. *shrug*

You keep your pilot mastery if you move over, by the way. My master SW, Mobar, moved over (now named Modar, go figure!) and kept all his bars of pilot skills and of course his master SW stuff.

Oh! And he still had his badges! The warnings at the confirmation screen lie to you! All you lose is your money, all your inventory, and the stuff in your datapad.

Of course it was awkward having zero resoueces and running around in boxer shorts until a guild picked me up and funded the guy with the Master Shipwright title who seemed to have nothing to his name

Come on over! Mandash, Vado, Modar and a number of perfect strangers are waiting to meet you

I even kept the exploration badges. It may be a fluke, but hey... I'm happy.

I refuse to be envious because, despite Valcyn's relatively low population, I've been quite happy with our space population. I am part of a very active non-guild organiztion that is focused on space activities and we have been succussful in spawning other similar groups looking for fun in space. Congrats on creating a healthy environment (which was done through the work of the players) and enjoy it, but I wouldn't mind if you'd quit starting threads specifically to advertise it.
