Theoretically the mass formula puts it at 215250, but it'd be really hard to go much over 213K with the way resources work.

sounds like you know exactly how it works, or close to it. How about the highest possiblemass for a Kihraxz(sp) and TIE advanced?

The formula (1.025*base-level mass) would put those at 41000 and 66625 respectively, but I have a feeling it breaks down on some light fighters, as I've seen people post about A-Wings that break the theoretical maximum by a small amount. Given that we have to work with resources that have a very hard time passing 80% mass experimentation, I'd think the A-Wing and Advanced's maximum mass would be closer to 67.5K.

But then on the other hand low-level TIEs seem to follow the formula, so I'm not sure how mid-level light fighters like the Kihraxz and Interceptor would work out. In their cases, I'd say the formula is probably a good baseline, but it may be possible to exceed it by a small ways.

Edit: just did some field testing. It seems that while another 210K-mass ship, the Firespray, does follow "the formula," the Krayt doesn't--its maximum possible mass is only going to be around 212350. So you'd be hard pressed to ever craft one above the 211.5-211.8K mark.

I think the 'tweaks' to some of the privateer ships made it so the formula doesn't really include them anymore. But I ain't no shippy so I have no idea. Just a guess.

Well, I'm pretty sure it was found by checking what happened on one or possibly two or three chassis (most likely the X-Wing) and then deciding it was a steadfast rule. I know it applies exactly on some ships--the X-Wing and B-Wing I've confirmed, the Firespray seems to follow it, plenty of others seem to--and while I think you're probably right about the privateer mass changes altering the way experimentation works on them, there have always been some ships that didn't follow the formula.

Maybe I'll get around to figuring them all out some day.. but I hate chassis, so that might be a while, lol.
