Thread: No surround sound in space?

Hi,
Is it just me or is there no surround sound available in space? In action games (such as Republic Commando) as well as on the ground in SWG I do hear correct sound coming from the rear, not in space however. I did select EAX 4 in SWG as well as I got the 4.1 speaker setup selected in Windows. Every other game as well as SWG ground, as said, emits surround sound.

Unless in PvP mode, I have all sound turned off and listen to music

Hey, I had this problem too, although for me the balance was just way off. Go into the sound configuration in SWG, and UNCHECK 'Sound's from characters perspective.' See if that helps - I think its new since the CU.

My surround sound works fine, first hour or two of space combat post-ROTW release (before the major lag), I had the volume upto 75% (bleding ears level) for the new combat music and when my R2 screamed behind me in a hard turn it blew my hypothalamus out my nose onto my desktop - oops!
