What missiles do you use.

OK so it seems like ImRec's for PVP are the norm (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)

But what about for PVE missions - conc's, sesm, prot's?

Just got me thinking as I'm loading out for the Corvette currently and wanted to work out what was best to take against this, suspect it's the same as you would take against everything as even when attacking cap ship the missles are there to take out the turrets rather than provide the majority of the damage.

^Bump Anyone have a link for what missle to use in different cirumstances? Isnt Proton used for armor while Concussion is for shields?

concusion - shields

siesmic - armor (pretty sure)

proton - both

I think it all depends on your equip cert level since im a seven right now i either load concusion 2 or proton 3

Looks as though no great influx of information is going to arrive - will work with Prot 3's and let you know how they work out.

Mark II Spacebombs vs. big stuff(tm), other than that a fired missile in PvE is a wasted missile :-P

Sniffing through other threads it would seem that Conc 3's (prot 3's as a close 2nd)are the guys to use to take out Vette turrets - you get a hell of a lot more of them per pack than the space bombs, even if you do use two to knock out each turret.

Will experiment and see if this works on Gunboats - suspect that space bombs will work best on these as the turrets are only a regular componant, rather than being properly targetable as with the Vette - but it's only a suspicion.

wouldn't seismic missiles be more effective since capital ship components only appear to have armor defense? I may be wrong here... against the vette i usually dodge and use my normal blasters anyways

Word seems to be that as Vette componants don't have shields, or armour as such- they have some sort of mystery "componant damage value" -that concs work as well as seismics and that as they throw out a bit more damage they are the ones to go for.
