Anyone else having an issue, where if the gunners stay in the turrets too long, they get disconnected from the game itself (as in toolong a period of inactivity as viewed by the client?)

We have had multiple instances where our gunners (right in the middle of heated battle of course) will report over Teamspeak that they have lost connection to the game, generally within minutes of each other.

I suspect that this may not be a problem that is high on the list, due to the possibility that not every player owns a MP ship, but it can have consequences when you are attempting to support a guildmate on a horridly long mission and now you have a really nice big target that is unarmed.

Anyone else?

Thanks.

havn't had that trouble but you might be able to run a macro to stay in game. something like /stand on about a 300 sec timer. shouldnt' interfere with gameplay but will keep em in game.

Met one other YT-1300 pilot in Kessel the other day who had the same problem.

No one else?

It's a real pain when it happens in the middle of a battle.

Thanks

I've been hunting on the ground lately, but used to have that problem all the time whenever I sat a turret. So much that I quit gunning.

/stand <-- brings you out of the turret (or any other) station

C'Nevyn was the only gunner who had that problem in my ship until publish 12. I'm going to start having all gunners run a /blink macro.

My friend got disconnected gunning from my Krayt. Another got disconnected from my YT-1300. I got disconnected from my friend's Nova. There's a chance that anyone manning a turret might get disconnected. There's so many issues affecting MP ships that I'm wondering if it's worth keeping one in my datapad.

Is it possible these are just the same connection loss issues that have been plauging the entire game ever since JTL went live. When they get disconnected is it going to the character selection screen or crashing to the desktop?

Character selection screen.

No different than the normal timeout due to inactivity.

Of course by the time they get logged back in they have never re-appeared in the ship, but rather planetside.
