ok ok ok ok so maybe the flight computer is something I should learn to use, not just a series of boxes I am forced to learn on my way to Ace. OK. Fine. Dammit.

I found instructions on how to program/load chips and the commit the changes. I do that, no problems. I then go to the ship management screen and load the nasty little..... I mean ..... proficient V2 F.C. into the Houndstooth and it SAYS it is loaded but the words LOADED are in red. Red means to me bad. No good. doo doo. At least when related to technology. Red in battle means blood, which is good. Unless it's my blood. Which isn't red anyway.

So, I was wondering if someone knows the significance of the red LOADED.

Also, I have been looking and can not find how to access the filthy little.... I mean proficient prgrams whilst in space. I'll keep looking but if you want to comment on that, coolness be you.

Have a flight computer installed with the droid interface?

Just making sure.

In order to use the FC, you need to have a DI (Droid Interface) installed in the spacecraft...

As for the programs themself... It's been a while sinceI played with my Imperial Pilot... Just now trying out the freelance on the other girl...

After you burn the chip and put them in the computer... I believe you can hotkey the ones you want onto your toolbar for quick-n-easy access...

/ponders. That reminds me, I need to find some rebels for their shielding programs...

If you have a droid interface loaded, when you load the flight comp it turns red, this is a good thing, it means that that one is loaded into that ship. Once it's loaded you can go into space and set your hotkeys for the special attacks you want. I'm thinking the only reason why it shows up red is because it's not in your ship but in your datapad. I can use the same flight comp in all of my ships without needing to redo my commands and chips. Which is nice and doesn't take much space. But red means good when it comes to flight comps.

thanks to pal and kelli. I managed to kotkeyed them and boyo, I dont know. Of course the first one i used was weapon overload which drained mycapacior like a Battle Lord drinking a dewback shake at Fort Tuskan. I guess I need to experiment with them in low level fights before I use them in a mission.

Thanks again for your help.
