I have an old droid that I have had since before JTL. I now have a starfighter that requires a droid. CAn I use this droid to program flight commands or do I have to buy a new droid? Also is the programing similar to flight computers?

Nope, you need a new droid. The old datapads in a droid are for factory schematics. You need a droid equiped with a flight computer to use it in your ship (to put droid commands into it).

I'm not really sure about the answer to your second question. I'm not sure what you're asking. But programming a droid with a flight computer is the same as programming a flight computer. Go into your datapad, click on the droid/computer, and hit the button that says "Access Flight Computer Storage", or something like that. You'll get another window where you can load/unload droid programs.
