I'm a jtl noob so bear with me. I've noticed that I seem to only do dmg when I get the dots lined up exactly, (center dot of my aimingsight (reticle)with the center dot of the targetsight (reticle)).

is this true? or is it that the closer you get to lining up the dots, the more dmg you do? cause lining up those dot is not easy.

The whole aiming piece is a little off, so it's only tricky until you have seen what is happening. The aiming reticle is the one you really want to shoot at, although it isn't entirely accurate. It's designed to help you "lead" your target. Because the target is moving, you have to aim ahead of it a little bit so it doesn't fly past your blasters. The problem is that the reticle is only an estimate, so you have to play with it a little bit. For me, it helps to aim just a little bit below the reticle.
