Thread: CorSec mission noob question
Hehe, didn't think anyone who tested would read that, but I, uh, meant "do they even listen to the tester's comments on bugs they find?" =P
And thanks, Frostbite, I'll try to do it a few more times. I did it *twelve* times last night without getting it. It's made even more frustrating by the fact that if it wasn't buggy it would be a pretty easy mission. I'll try it some more though. Thanks for giving me hope that at some point it will click and give me the mission successful message. Your help is invaluable, believe me. I was beginning to lose faith that I'd ever progress, haha.
Huh, thats odd. The only issue I had with that mission was I needed to really "hunt" to find the Cannon ship, he was no where near the WP. I think this is what your doing "wrong" (its more like a bug then anything). You dont need to dock with that ship. All you do is get real close to the ship, then at some point you'll get a "the capture has begun" message, then after that is done you get a NEW mission where you need to lead the ship out of the area. I think by "docking" your "breaking" the mission and it dumps you.
1. Take out escorts so they would not pester me.
2. Target the Cannon ships engines and take them out so the ship will be disabled (after doing the INSPECT thing of course)
3. Move real close and wait to get the "capture has begun" message
4. Lead ship out of sector (this takes a bit, but the people that attack after that are whimps).
