I am presently a corsec freelance (and I suck at it, but oh well).
If I were to switch to say, the rebel faction, would I still be able to use the ships that I was previously certified for as a freelance? like the Dunelizard?

No. If you switch to alliance pilot you will loose your certifications to fly Neutral ships like the dunelizzy.
Unless you mean just Rebel Ground Forces. In that Case you can be rebel and keep Neutral Pilot.
