Thread: Why give me a red tie if I cant fly it?

Not-so-fun fact: The Imperial Guard tie fighter deed makes a nice paperweight if you are a Freelance pilot with Imperial ground faction.


At least they could have given me a shirt... "I was successfull in capturing an Alliance Corvette and driving off waves of gunboats bent on destroying it for the greater good of the Empire and all I got was this stupid T-Shirt and an unusable deed"

If you don't want me to "play the forums," then I suggest you make time playing the game more rewarding and less repetitive than "playing" here!

Rebel Freelancers get the Heavy X-Wing too. I tried to get the Red TIE too after going Imp for the JSF, but the imperial outpost won't give me the mission.

I mean, you do realize that TIE fighters are certified to Imperial Pilots and XWings are certified to Rebel pilots right?


Because of course, you read the FAQ at the top of the forum that gives you all this information and more. As a nuetral are you cert'ed to fly a standard TIE intercepter? How about a standard XWing?


But my friends, there is hope! Since you completed the mission all you have to do now to actually fly these ships... drop nuetral pilot and go Imperial or Rebl pilots. Gain the certification to fly an Intercepter/Xwing and low and behold you can now use the ship! Amazing how that works isn't it?

hehehehe.. had a long weekend, spent half my "vacation" helping someone move so in my sore and battered state I find myself a little bit... "surly" today.. lmao.. sorry if I came off harsh.. but geez people.. RTFM!

Aw heck, I knew I couldnt fly it when I went for the mission... I'm just suprised they even offered the darn thing to me.


Now... if they gave something else to neutral pilots with ground imperial faction standing, or never even offered the mission, that'd make sense. So, in truth, my post was more of a commentary on the rediculousness of the situation rather than a complaint.

Well, I'm starting a second toon on Ahazi this week. Plan is... Start as Imp, get JSF. Go Reb get ARC then go grab the greivous. Mainly gonna go for a Reb pilot to give the Ahazi Imps something to get nervous about again! LMAO!

So for those of you that have this unflyable ship, and have no intention of going Imp, I have a suggestion for you.


A friend of mine was in the same quandry, and he just gave me the deed since I answered "weak" and can not do the quest. When I say gave, I mean gave.


I realize this may not be what some of you want to do, but give it a thought if you have an Imp friend who answered "weak"
