Does the JSF decay and if so, can you get another one by redoing the quest? Thanks

Can't repeat the quest as far as I know.

Yeah it does decay, just like any other ship.

But theoretically I'm told that ship chassis will never become un-usable, once the chassis decay to a certain point they stop decaying, basically it's still usable it just means that once your shields and armor are blown away you won't have any chassis points to speak of. Of course, once your shields and armor are gone it usually only takes one shot to kill ya no matter how many chassis points you have anyway.

It won't decay past 10 HP. Then it becomes "die-if-you-cut-yourself-shaving" range once your shields and armor are down.

Yes, all ships will decay. Doesn't matter though, if your shields and armor are down even a tier 1 will be able to take you out with one shot.

It's smart to use two ships - the JSF and your faction's new Heavy Tier 1. Switch out to help others in a chassis that's a HELL of a lot easier to replace.
