oky here is my problem.

Im at 1-2-1-1 i was doing the missions, and got to some dutey missions.. i did a bunch and got a box. Thought maybe i needed to talk to someone else that i was missing something. Well it did something. i get some kill an ace mission.

Ive treied it a few times and died misserable a bunch.. i need some new parts : ( anyway my little light scyk does all right but i think i just need to get a few more droid commands and i could do it. Problem is i cant get back the duty missions, that were fun, and atleast half way challenging. Teir 2-3 ships.. anyway now i just get this one mission or i gotta go look for stuff and my luck its been tier 1.. or swarms of 3's

Is there anyway i can either

A get my duty missions back soo i can lvl,

b, Any good WP's for some active hot spots that are fun with lvl 2-3's ive done some searching but havent found much,, and to fly all night looking is just no fun.. besides if i did that my armor customers would kill me.. they alerady take pot shots at me and say what are you doing up here, BACK TO WORK. !

c, should i just get help and get past it.and get back to the duty missions? but to me thats cheating an ace should beable to make it al the way though solo right??

any input would be nice

First off, pick up a Dunelizard. Then go shopping for some better parts. You should be able to get level five parts now. And they won't fit in a Syck, unless you can affored the heavy Syck. 10k of mass compared to 85 mass is something to behold. First off look for some Player made shields, the are 9 out 10 times better than looted at this level. Also look for player made engines. I was able to find a player made engine level 5 that 87 speed, and 60's Pitch and Yaw. Also look for a player made generator, again 9 times out of 10 they are better than looted. Same way with weapons, you might get lucky and get a better than crafted, but look. Boosters and Capicators are the only thing I would suggest you use looted. Armor is better crafted... You might find the rare drop that might be better than crafted, so keep them and get them Reverse Engineered (RE) by a trusted Shipwright.

Right now it seems like it is your ship that is getting you killed. It would take a very experienced pilot to continue on past the level you are doing with the ship that you are using.

A) You need to do that mission before you can learn a new skill.

B) Sorry.. I was never one for Waypoints for that, maybe some else can help you.

C) And if you can solo your way to ace your first time through.... I can't say how many have done that, but the I bet the number is lower than you think.

thanks for the thoughts...

I think im gonna try to solo it though.. atleast soo far. Im acually a shipwright soo the parts and gear is not the issue. Im acually getting out and doing combat and flying now.. instead of being chained to my station, I found the key ! btw.. though thanks for the info on the loot vs crafted

Im going to make a new syck and try again i have over 300 lvl 2-4 parts to RE im hoping i can make me some nice parts.. combined with some crafted stuff to max my mass.. or squeeze the mass in i should say. I love the small light ships I was a imp pilot for a while.. never made ace only 2-2-2-1 i think or was it 1-2-2-2 i forget.. anyway.. i just love those tie fighters.. : )

I second the Dunelizard. I flew one of those for a long time and loved it. The extra weap slot helps a lot. I was able to solo to RSF2232 before I needed help with that dam T5 YT, and mostly with a dunelizard. Get a Kimo when ya can too, they fly ok and can shoot down stuff. You do have to finish the mission you're on to advance any further but with a Dune and good equip you won't have a problem.

Also, when you get the chance to train in T3 make sure ya dont pick advanced defense first, I did it by accident. Planned on advanced equip...

I third the dunelizard. This ship makes all the difference. Currently at 2322 and moving forward. The scyk just can't compete with the tier3+ ships.

Try the last LOK area for grinding XP. Did 120K xp in about an hour the other night grouped with another pilot in the area.

I'll chime in to advise getting a Dunelizard too. I'm at 4433 and still using my lizzy. It's still very manuverable and is great at dogfighting.

I convinced a friend to go back to one too. He'd been upgrading his ship with every tier, and then he saw how easy I was taking out bigger ships. So now he's got one too, works great flying in formation, lots of fun!

Mass seems to vary on these, so pay attention to that too. Mine has 85k mass, but looking for one for a friend all I could find were in the 60 to 70k mass range. But if you're also a shipwright, you probobly already know more about that than I do....

Dunelizard FTW. I have done all 3 neutral Pilot profs and used my Dunelizard to atleast 4333 each time. I'm currently re-doing SA Pilot as I miss my YT-1300, and yup once again I'm in a Dunelizard

Wili helped me from 1100 to 3322 over the weekend. I hope to be 4333 by the end of the day today.

JeCy if you are going to stick to a Syck... At least get yourself a heavy Syck. Though you are giving up a gun slot, at 11k mass.. For an inexperienced pilot is just not going to work... I see a lot of deaths. From a one shot missle. But if you do it. Let me know.. Then I will have to go try it myself. *chuckles*
