Earlier today Iwent toKessel to trydoing the corvette mission to get Imp Pilot Ace in Imperial inqusition. Someone gave me a set of waypoints; supposedly the corvette and its groupenters at 7344 7550 6268 and exits at -6650 -245 -6258. I was flying back and forth between these two for about an hour between 4 and 5 PM PST, and saw nothing. Then again at midnight I was flying around between them for a really long time, and finally at around 1:35 AM I was about halfway between the points and I saw the corvette about 8000m to the side, spinning around in circles, all alone.
I started flying towards it and then the gunboats and fighters appeared and flew towards it. I drew the fighters away and spent about a minute taking them out. Then I moved in towards the corvette and destroyed gun 5 as the walkthrough instructed. Then I was flying under it, trying to find which part to shoot at to drain the shields, then remembered to call in my bomber strike. The bomberstrike came and some stuff blew up; I kept shooting at it, and then suddenly the corvette and gunboats together went into hyperspace! Can anybody give me any info as to why this happened? Seriously, the corvette didn't even stay for five minutes! Also, can someone tell me what the real coordinates for the corvette are, because the ones I have seem to not be accurate. Thanks in advance.

The coordinates you have are from the Imperial Corvette (the one that needs to be killed by rebels). You seem to have gotten the corvette near its endpoint. ![]()
The corvette is on a 2 hour timer, flying for 1 hour in Kessel is a waste of time, repeat this a couple of time and real frustration will set it. Always go on a corvette run assuming it will take2 hours waiting for the spawn, 30 minutes to kill it.
Correct enterpoint:
+4870 -5056 -4765
Correct exitpoint:
-7260 +4873 +6341
Check the exit point for spinning gunboats, they block the spawn. Once the exit point is clear you can just park 2k from the entry point and start reading a book/watching t.v. 'till it spawns.

The corvette was almost to the exit point when you first spotted it. Your best bet for finding the corvette early is to have both exit and entry points for the Imp and Reb vette. Upon entering Kessel check out both end points for loitering gun boats. Those will have to be destroyed first. If they're on your faction you probably have to find some one from the other faction to volunteer to blow them up. If they're not destroyed the next corvette will not spawn. They loiter almost indefinately. After they're destroyed head for the start point and wait. The next corvette will spawn with in 5 to 10 minutes after the loitering gunboats are destroyed.
Please let me stress this yet again. It is imperative that pilots destroy the escort gun boats even after they destroy the corvette. Failure to do so will cause prevent the following corvette from entering the system.

If I'm flying with a group on a corvette mission, I personally try to ensure that I have a set of dice handy.
Playing variations of high/low and craps to pass the time and to potentially make some money off of pilots seems appropriate, somehow, for a helpful SA pilot to do.

Killing the gunboats won't necessarily spawn the Corvette within 5-10 minutes ... but at least you're now waiting for something that can happen.

Thanks for the info guys. I used the new waypoints, went to Kessel and the corvette was right where it was supposed to be. I did it all alone and had no trouble at all. Only time I got hit was when I moved down to attack the vette's engines. Then I felt kinda guilty because someone asked me to wait for a minute so he can share it with me, but my bomber strike finished it off before he could get back into kessel. Then I talked to the admiral with alzheimers and he gave me three of the same medallion. Then I ran around wearing nothing but the medallion and the ace helmet. Then some guy named Atreyu sent me a tell asking if my helmet was the ace helmet. I responded by saying "ew, you listen to atreyu." He got really angry and tried to lecture me about being mature, so I ignored him. Then I bought a decimater and helped powerlevel two of my friends who were still stuck on Tier 3. Then I picked up a couple of tier 2 newbies and brought them to kessel and they said they had fun. Good times.
